Your children will engage in a range of learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, communication and collaboration through well designed individual, small and large group activities.

A typical day in our school is developed keeping the following in mind:

Morning Session 8.45am – 12.30pm	Arrival and Health Check Children are signed in and a routine health check is carried out. Breakfast Children eat breakfast and participate in quiet activities. As children finish breakfast, they can visit the different activity corners in the room (blocks corner, reading corner, pretend/dramatic play corner, art centre etc) until most children are finished eating. Circle Time Children begin each day by singing the welcome song, sharing their news, and doing the calendar activity. Teacher will discuss the day’s schedule with the children. Value Education/ Music & Movement/ Show & Tell (by rotation) Children will learn about the values (8Cs) in the form of simple stories. Weekly music and movement lessons promote an appreciation for music/dance and build gross motor skills. Through Show & Tell, children develop speaking skills as well as learn to listen patiently. Literacy/Numeracy/ Unit of Inquiry/Learning Centre Activities The unit of inquiry (theme) is introduced/continued and children engage in fun activities focussed on learning about numbers, sounds of the alphabet and the topic for the month. Children participate and explore in theme-related experiences especially designed to create an environment for discovery and learning. Play Children enjoy structured and unstructured play (indoor playground, teacher planned activities)
Afternoon Session 12.30pm – 5pm	Lunch and Health Check-up Children wash hands, help set tables and eat lunch family-style. Routine health check is carried out. Rest Time Children set out their bedding and settle down for their afternoon nap or rest quietly (not all children sleep but are taught to respect those who do).
