Rani Suppiah graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Social Work, Sociology and Social Administration) in 1974. She obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Multilingual Primary Education from the University of North London, UK, in 1991, and a Master of Educational Management from The University of Melbourne, Australia in 2008.
Rani brings with her 25 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood education having held teaching and leadership experiences in the United Kingdom and in a renowned and leading International School in Singapore. She was Principal of the Kindergarten for 14 years and as well spearheaded the establishment of a Pre-kindergarten in this school for 2 year old children following the International Primary Curriculum and International Early Years Curriculum. Rani was actively engaged in all areas of education including curriculum development, teacher mentoring, and educational planning and change. Her experience involved collaborating with all levels of staff to foster quality relationships with students and parents and to ensure the delivery of a quality Early Childhood programme.
She held various appointments (Teacher, International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme Coordinator and Deputy Principal) before assuming the position as Principal. Her experience as a member of the Executive Board of a leading International School and Board member of a multi-million dollar Private Company speaks volumes of her invaluable experience which she brings to United World Preschool.
