Step 1

Mix half cup of flour, 2 teaspoons of salt, 2 teaspoons of oil, 3 tablespoons of water and 1 teaspoon of food colouring.

Step 2

Before mixing all your incredients, place a plastic sheet over your table to avoid staining. You may wish to wear kitchen gloves even though the food colouring washes off easily. Once you’re prepared, mix the ingredients well by stirring repeatedly.

Step 3

A dough will soon form. Do not add too much water. Add it drop by drop and continue kneading the dough thoroughly. To know if you’ve added the right amount of water, the dough should be smooth and easy to knead.

Step 4

That’s it! You’ve just created your own homemade playdoh. Keep the playdoh in a zip-lock bag or airtight container, ideally in the fridge. Please note that as there are no preservatives in this dough, it will only keep for 14 days at most. Should the dough dry up, simply add more water to soften it again. After two weeks, it’s time again to start the fun again!
